Meet the Brains Running Beverly House

Beverly House was founded in 2021 by Tiffanie Yael Maoz, who wanted to make a difference in the publishing industry. She believed that traditional publishing methods were no longer effective and that new platforms were needed to share important messages and bring people’s expertise to light.

Tiffanie Yael Maoz has a Ph.D. in Biology & Bioinformatics and over seven years of experience in project management, product development, and customer success for small businesses and startups.

She has worked with scientists and startups primarily in Israel and Florida and loves to work with brick and mortar small business owners. Her background makes her eager to bring scientific knowledge and expertise to the global community in a way that is accessible and useful for everyone.
Bioinformatics may not be something everyday people understand. It’s essentially using computer coding to analyze biological big data. When Tiffany started out in science, there were no degrees in bioinformatics and very few tools. Her expertise was in leading teams to create tools to make understanding biology easier. She now uses that same mindset to help make running a small business easier, so business owners can learn, grow, and profit.

Tiffanie also believes that more women from science and STEM backgrounds getting involved in their own small businesses and connecting with other women entrepreneurs around the world will bring about transformation in the way business is done, innovation, partnerships, and in general, make the world a more pleasant place to be and more equitable — more products designed by and for women, to meet their needs.

The Legacy of Beverly House

Beverly House is named after Tiffanie’s grandmother Beverly Woodburn Swank, an avid reader and artist who opened her own ceramic shop in her retirement years.

Tiffanie comes from multiple generations of small business owners and family-run businesses. Her experiences in startup and science gave her insights into how small businesses can be run better.

She is passionate about helping the ‘little guy’ grow and share their good work by applying what she has learned from startup and science innovation to small businesses.
The logo is reminiscent of the gazebo at her grandparents’ house, a lovely place to spend an afternoon reading on a warm day.
